Senior Risk Controller (m/f/d)

On behalf of our client, a global asset manager, we are hiring a “Senior Risk Controller (m/f/d)” for their office in Luxembourg.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for the risk-based review of risk assessments on new transactions for debt funds
• Align risk profile, risk limits and risk levels across risk types
• Performing limit checks on new investment proposals to ensure compliance as well as reviewing relevant risk policies and procedures
• Contact person for internal teams such as portfolio management, valuation, compliance, etc. regarding risk related matters
• Creating risk reports for the senior management, auditors and regulators
• Management of the operational risk event database
• Acting as advisory to the AIFM Board on all risk-related matters, in particular on review of liquidity risk management and business plans
• Responsible for the monitoring & optimization of portfolio risks
• Setting up risk appetite for new funds and determine their risk limits

Your profile:

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Law, STEM or Business Administration
• Professional experience in asset management, the Luxembourg fund industry, fund administration, audit of funds or within a law firm
• Familiar with investments in impact funds and/or emerging markets is considered astrong advantage
• Experience with process automation (ideally including coding skills in SQL and Python/R)
• Fluency in English is mandatory, German would be an asset
